Mini Tests:
- Children should speak as they write:

- for speaking practice, pronunciation
- No looking back at previous pages.
- If children do not know a word, please ask a parent ‘What’s this?’
- Please tell your child what the word is, but do not tell them which letter it is - and do not over help. (Let the child do it themselves)
- It is OK to make mistakes. They will be corrected in class.
- If there were many mistakes the first time, the child will re-do a 2nd or 3rd time in class.

- 4 easy words for each letter.
- Upper and lower case.
- Lines and numbers showing how to write the letter.
- Kids can write their name and the date.
- Reviews and repeats words in the Class Book

Questions and Answers
- Children read and answer simple questions.
For our Japanese Students:
● 毎週2ページの宿題をだします。
● 生徒さんは、
○ 名前と日付を記入します。
○ 大文字と小文字の練習をします。
○ 絵のところには小文字で書きます。
○ 4つの絵の単語を覚えます。
● 翌週先生は、
○ 生徒さんが単語を覚えているかチェックします。
○ 覚えていない単語の絵を丸で囲みます。
○ 覚えていれば絵を✔します。
○ もしたくさん丸で囲まれた単語」があれば、同じページをまた宿題にします。
● 生徒さんは声にだしながら書きましょう。
○ 話す練習と発音の練習になります。
● 前のページを見てはいけません。
● 単語がわからない時は、家の人にWhat's this ?と聞くようにして下さい。
● 生徒にはその単語だけを言って下さい。どの文字かは言わないで下さい。手助けしすぎてはいけません。（生徒さん自身にやらせて下さい。）
● 間違えていても大丈夫です。授業で訂正します。
● 最初のミニテストでたくさん間違えが」あった時、生徒さんは2回目もしくは3回目のミニテストをクラスでやります。
● 生徒さんと一緒に質問と答えを読んで下さい。
● すぐに生徒さんは助けがなくても読めるようになります。
● 答えを英語で書くのが難しければ、単語をばらして教えて下さい。
● 例えば、What's your favorite vegetable? I like cucumbers.
● Cucumberｓは難しいです。おうちの方は線の下にCucumbersをばらしてcum bers cu のように書いてあげて下さい。
● 生徒さんはそのヒントを見て単語を線の上に書きます。
● おうちの方は少し手助けをするだけです。教えすぎてはいけません。
